Smile Sturgis or bust 2011

Just reserved a campsite at the Broken Spoke in Sturgis. I rode there 8 years ago, 2001 miles in each direction. I did it in three days each way. When I got home I said "I don't need to do that again".

Well, now its 2011 and I'm ready to try it again. This time I'm allowing 4 days in each direction. Any of you guys going? Be great to meet up with some of you guys.

Dang, I'm in Michigan, was planning to go, but I now have several week-long meetings to be in. Would be great to fall in when you pass by, but alas....

Funny I used to live in Rapid City and hated the annual invasion, but I would give one of the important parts of my anatomy to go back for the rally now. Enjoy dude!

Hey JakesDad, where are you traveling from? I'm really on the fence and have never been. Can you give me any insight as what to expect if I decide to head there. Just sems like a long way to travel solo, especially never having been. thanks

This will be my 4th yr in a row. Been going since 2000. Love it. I'm 37 yrs old and will go til I can't anymore. Buffalo chip might be alittle much though. I stay down the street at lampere camp ground. Good people that like to ride, and hang at night.

I'll be coming out of Connecticut. Its been a couple of years but the long ride there and back was memorable. Won't do it that way again! Once there, lots of local riding. This time I'm bringing along an itnerary of everything that's going on. Last time I had no idea when events and shows were happening. I stayed at Lamphere's last time. Things were too layed back.
