Default help identify this wire please

Coming out of the wiring harness between my tanks is a violet/white stripe wire with a female connector. It has power to it. Any help is greatly appreciated. I am guessing it has something to do with the lights but has been disconnected. Thanks for your consideration.

Well, we can guess by your screen name that we are talking about a Heritage but how about a year and which connector does it come out of? I have about 5 of them up under the tank.

Power wire for optional passing lights is my guess. My bike has an extra wire for that, i just don't remember the color and my shop manual is at home.

Default identify wire

Okay, the bike is a 1991 Heritage, Softail, Classic. The wire I am talking about is sticking up from a bunch of wrapped wires on the left side (sitting on the bike) of the frame under the tank cover. It's violet with a white stripe. I have a poor copy of the manual and I can't read the color codes very well. Thanks for your consideration.

Only violet/white on my wiring diagram for a '93 goes from the electronic ignition to the VOES module. The wire ends under the tank and plugs into the black wire of the VOES which is the round thing mounted directly above the intake manifold on the back side of the horn mount with two black wires and a vacuum hose coming out of it. The other black wire from the VOES goes to a frame ground under the gas tank.
