good choice. i have a 07fxstc and built the motor to 103 and puttin thefxstc detach bags on it. last year i was 57 and put over 400 miles in 9 hrs ridiin around pa and didnt want to get off. good luck

Can you tell me more about the bags you're putting on? It's definitelty something I want down the line but haven't seen a lot of choices for the Custom. To me, it's not really a bike I would want bags on full time but there will be occasions when they are necessary.
Congrats on your choice. I think that the custom has the classic lines that will continue on even though company has ceased it's production. I have a '07 FXSTC that I bought new. Changed the factory seat out to a Sundowner then put on the Harley detachable bags made for the Custom. It's a daily rider as well as has made a couple of long trips averaging over 2000 mile each with no issues what so ever. I'm only 5'10" and have found it very comfortable and the ride is great single of two up. Here is a picture of mine on this years trip to the Smokey's taken on the Dragon fully loaded.
they r in the hd parts cat. just fxstc saddlebags and detachable brackets from drag specialties. wont keep them on all the time but i bought the messenger bag and there wasnt enough room in it
