Default Progressive drop in springs

Sometime back i bought the progressive drop in springs #10-2003 for my 08 Deluxe. Going with the Shotgun shock air in back and now going to install the front. The directions state to cut the pvc spacer to 3". How much will this lower the front ? the directions also state to remove front wheel and forks ? Why would that need to be done ? Maybe necessary for diff. model ? Anyway, Thanks for any advise.

Cutting the spacer to 3 " will give you the full 2" drop.If you can swing it while you are in the front end.I recommend the Ricor Intiminators.I found them to make a big difference.Especially on a lower bike.

If you can't swing the Ricor Intiminators, then just increase the fork oil to HD heavy (not super heavy) and you will be ok. The pre-load space at 3 inches is the way to go but it is not what only determines the drop it is the short springs.
