Hey VetteSiNz, are you talking about the stock baffles that came with your BSS's? I have a set sitting in my garage and have the quite baffles installed in my BSS's. I tried taking out my quite baffles, but was not able to. Any tips on how you did it?
Set them off all the time ... I giggle everytime I do. But what I even love more than that is seeing the local nationals cover their ears when I am coming. Then I like to give them a blip-of-the-throttle
BTW: Currently chatting with ya from Athens, Greece (19 Year anniversary on Nov 7). HD Forum goes everywhere I go.
Hey Brian,
The baffles are only held in by one screw. The quiet baffles are kinda tight inside the pipes so you may need to make a hook in a sturdy coat hanger to pull them out. I installed my quiet baffles and it was a very easy job. Only took about 20 minutes to take out the original baffles and to intall the quiet baffles.
Good luck,
Tnicean

It's not hard at all. The quiet baffles is a little tight to pull due to the glass pack that is wrap around the baffle. I use the welded nut to pull the quiet baffle out. The louder baffle that came with the BSS is very easy to pull.
When I ride to work (5:30 AM) there's a service van about a block up from my house that I set the alarm off on every time...and that early in the morning I'm trying to roll out of my hood as quiet as I can...that alarm is TOO sensitive IMO...It's a lot louder when it goes off than my bike is and I just know people like to sleep that early in the morning.
Thanks, VetteSiNz and Tnicean. I tried pulling out the quite baffles about a month ago and they would not come out. What did you use to grab the welded nut with, VetteSiNz?
I had a 90 degrees angled tool that I use to pull it out. I hook and pull it out. At first it seems that it won't come out but with a few hard pull it finally came out.
