Default ignition switch

I'm looking for an exploded drawing of the ignition switch. Got on today and turned it on. All was god till I hit the start button then it clicked like a dead battery and everything went dead. Made sure the bat was charged. Now, if I turn the switch I get nothing. I took it apart and found some rust and corrosion shorting out the contacts. My problem is I don't know if I have the spring contacts in the right posisition.

Replace the switch.

What is the storage environment?
Rust and corrosion in the switch indicates moist & warm
Also check all the battery connections and the Master breaker.
Then replace the switch.

I keep it in my garage. But my cars been down and the bikes been my transportation rain or shine. I'm thinking I should have dryed it better a few times, The switch is good after I cleaned it. The thing comes completely apart. Just want to make sure the spring contact are in the right place.

If you are happy with the switch being good then look at the master breaker.

The behavior you described " Click then everything went dead" and "Now nothing" is typical of the master breaker. If you wait 10 to 15 minutes and power comes back then the breaker did it's job and tripped (it has an auto reset).

The breaker will trip whenever it sees an extreme draw on the battery, except to the starter motor. All other circuits, including the starter relay are via this master. It may not be a bad breaker, it can be tripped by a bad ground connection or even a loose positive connection at the battery itself.
