No. The possible issue that could cause damage to the motor would be if you add an a/c without a tuner as the engine mixture will become even leaner than it already is but without changine the a/c you will be fine.

One other thing, would the sound be the same or similar without the AC and tuner?

Yes, the sound will be the same. The only thing that will really change your sound is if you build your motor or add cams.

Drew,

Thanks for the info... I was also looking on different websites for a PCV... I have come across different prices for the PCV... is there a difference in PCV's? For example, Eastern has a PCV for 280, but they also a have a PCV "autotune" for 350...

What is the difference?

The auto tune is a separate module to auto tune the bike. It is not neceessary, but you need the pcV unit to use the auto tune.
