You couldn't take the plugs off the wiring? On '10 and earlier you can pull the wires out of the plugs and then only pull the wire through the bars.
Nice work. Even though it was difficult, you can feel good knowing you did it yourself.
Maybe.. Not sure.. Didn't cross my mind since they pulled back through the stock bars so easily.. And the namz kit said the plugs were small enough to fit through the bars.
It sounds you are making progress. I have never had a grip with a set screw come off no matter how hard I tug on it. Thanks so much for your business and learning is the fun part. Sharing your experience with the rest of us is priceless as numerous people will benefit from this posting. I find the fact that the bars are too long on the grip portion to the be the strangest thing of all. I would think they would be perfect at the price they get for them.
