sad really, I grabbed the last one in the UK, my last chance to own a chopper bike, without spending thousands on a custom bike build, apparently used ones are flying out the show rooms, and you cant get new, strange when they stop making something, people want them, we always want what we can;t have,

My two pennies. Blame the shareholders.

The chopper scene has died down. Look what the custom shops are making now, they are all classic board track like choppers. I bet Discovery even kills OCC because of the dying fad.

Default Why Did HD Stop Makng the Rocker C

As a fairly new owner of a Rocker C, I think it's clearly obvious why they quit making them. They steal too much attention away from all the other HD bikes:-)) Everytime I stop at a bike event with my Rocker, groups of people eventually ask what kind of bike it is and comment about how much they really like the look. Admittedly, I have many upgrades on my bike, but I've owned several different bikes, most recently, a Road King, but never received the compliments I have gotten from the Rocker. However, on a more serious note, I believe price had a lot to do with the slow sales. For example, with a Rocker sitting next to a HD Road King Ultra Classic, it's obvious one is a lot more bike than the other (if nothing else physically), yet the price is somewhat comparable--just seems like you are not quite getting the bang for the buck with the Rocker. Just my two cents worth, but I haven't seen a Harley yet that I didn't like.

I think its because its "almost custom" look. People wanted choppers in the mid 2000s....Harley released it in 2008....the tail end of the chopper phase.

Personally, I think its almost an amazing looking ride. I just can't get past the rear fender to seat gap. When I see a stock one, I think about all of the Rockers on this site that fixed that hideous gap. The problem is.....it costs a lot of money to get it to look the way it should have come from the factory.

Also....Harley is not the greatest when it comes to killing and introducing models! Kill the Night Train, Deuce, and Standard, but introduce the hodge-podge of Harley left over parts Black line and 76 different Sporsters.

I don't doubt that when one is sitting on the street that it gets alot of attention but, the attention is more than likely from people who think motorcycles are "neat" to look at and not from enthusiasts that buy, own and ride motorcycles.

dude the rocker c is NOT a chopper its a stock production bike
if people wanted them they would still be in production the last few rockers were discounted 5 grand just to get rid of them..

The Rocker seems to be a bike that people either love or hate. If I liked/owned the Rocker, I would be pretty excited about the discontinuation (fewer on the road).
