I owned an 09 Rocker C with the Heartland kit and really got alot of nice complaments and had alot of fun with it but it was mainly a bar hopper scooter and I wanted to do some more long distance riding so I decided to move up to a touring model. The Rocker was just not designed for distance riding for this ole man. Still sorry to see it go..

On investigation in to getting a heartland 250 conversation on a fatboy low, I get the financial piece, despite it be a production bike where costs come down, they must have been expensive to make, they really should do a fatboy 250 to replace her, I looked at doing it, allow 4000 dollars for the kit, another 2000 for the wheels then the cost of labour or do it yourself, either way to get a fat tyre softail it's gonna be expensive , or buy a vrod

I still love my rocker and like previous posts not one person has come up to me and said that is really an ugly bike. If they did no problem. Im glad all these bikes are different. I think the bike just didn't appeal to a lot of people looking for a bike in the 20000 dollar range.

MIKE its strange all the money you put into yours and Blue is still faster.

Had Harley's made the Rocker to look like yours and a few others bikes on this forum I'm sure they would have sold a lot more.

That's a good point, had Harley modified the bike or originally released it with the heartland fender, with the heartland passenger set up as an option I am sure they would have sold more, even solo riders like me like the option of carrying luggage easily, as is I get by with a front rollbag and a tank bag,

What concerns me, is with the passing of the Rocker there is no air cooled 240 rear tyre bike, in fact the only fat tyre bike in in Harley's range now is the vrod, in another post I have expressed a wish for a fatboy with a heartland style 240 option,

Till they build such a bike my Rocker is a keeper, if you have not got a Rocker and have been looking at getting one, I'd act quick, there is a real gap in Harley's line up with the passing of his bike, not sure it's going to be filled that quick or even filled at all, we're all going to have get used to slim rears!

Default Rocker

The bottom line is the rocker did not sell and thats that. Same with the cross bones. Harley has sustained over a 100 years and the passing of these two bikes wont be the death of them. Its all about numbers. You have to give harley credit for trying. They have came out with some winners and a few loosers. I was suprised to see the springer classic go even the duece which i was not so fond of. We all feel for the model we like best but it dont matter to harley to them its all about the benjimens

because the "chopper" craze went out as fast as it came in. I always thought it was a good looking bike, except for the oil tank.. i never cared for the fins on the oil tank
