The power of word of mouth is a powerful thing! If they were smart they would send you one asap and be done with it. You put out good money for a product that sounds like the chrome is anything but good.
I had a new product from Kurry and the chrome came off. I called them and sent pics as they requested and got no where. I will NEVER deal with them again and I know for a fact that just from people localy that I have talked to they lost a ton of sales from word of mouth. O well, maybe they will treat customers with respect some day.
The same thing happened to the one on my Vance and Hines true duals. The heat really takes a toll on that piece. Mine was around 8k I think. I asked V&H and they sold me a new one for around 20 dollars I believe it was.
I am not sure to expect a free replacement but 50 dollars seems a little high.
CountryDeluxe,
please give us a call so we can replace that heat shield for you with no charge to you at all. please ask for Jessica, she will take good care of you and sorry for the misunderstanding.
thank you,
JR
See Now that's a response, way before the 4th was over! Samson....You may be confused or I, Nikonf8 was the OP. Address the OP issue first. Then Deluxe's or I'm I missing all of the story.
I have had my Samson fishtails for about 6 years and the chrome is in great shape. You have to understand from their point of view . Some people leave their bike out in the weather all the time, maybe in the salt air. Don't polish or clean , wax etc.
Just went and bought a used Sporty for my son and I couldnt believe how people treated their bikes ! Like ****.
I'm not saying you, but I would be skeptical if I was Samson.
Yeah, I think JR got it mixed up. They have already took care of me. Its NIKON that they need to take care of. They will do him rite. Nikon, give them a call Bro
from what i understand from reading the thread is that someone called for a price on a replacement heat shield and i am just trying to help him out to replace the heat shield at no cost. if we are asked what something costs we let people know. now that it appears there was a concern about faulty chrome i offered a free heat shield. this is what i get from this thread. the person with the heat shield should give us a call so we can replace it for them.
thank you,
JR

I was charged $62.00 and change today for a replacement.I was not on the forum for a day or ywo. If they are replacing it for free i would be happy and would like my credit card refunded HELP
Mine has only 500 miles on it and my heat shield on the rear cylinder where it goes on the engine is pitted .
I go to allot of shows and folks always love the pipes till they see the pitting and ask how many miles I have on them . Great pipes but poor chroming IMO .
I would love to get a PM saying I will be takin care of but like the old saying goes wish in one hand and s..t in the other ...
