the little heat shield that covers the pipe that is between the cylinders on my bike got all pitted i called samson to see about a replacement and they told me that that Little heat shield would cost me $49.95 wow seems like over kill on the price being that is a replacement you would think they would go easy on you.kind of disappointed that it pitted i take really good care of my ride.
A Samson dealer/owner is online/ Sponsor . Ya never know what he'll say.
I've got old Samson from era 1996. They still sounds great! & look good 2 me! I had weld break, but mine was used. No fault to Samson/ age. They may have 100k or more on them. I don't or expect help from them. Never will.
Nikon, the same thing happened to me last fall. Mine didnt have 100 miles total on the entire system. The chrome on the heat shield bubbled. I had to take pics and email them to Dr. Vtwin and that didnt even work. I finally had to call and talk to JR the owner on the phone. It took about a month to get things worked out. I was PISSED
because I just bought mine, when it happened.
mine are not 100 years old and only have about four thousand miles on them whats your point. i should be Happy about having to fork out $50.00 on something that should have lasted longer then four thousand miles seems to me a quality problem i may have the one in a thousand but when you have the one its the same as a thousand to you
You can check out the Thread I started, stating how pissed I was, and JR chimed in and said that I needed to call him Directly. So when I called and talked to a Lady at samson, she didnt want to transfer me to JR, because she said in the pics that I sent, didnt show anything wrong. LIKE I WAS LYING!!!!

i can see that things can happen now and then but when its you that gets that one its the only one that counts. i guess they cant see that i am sure it does not happen to every one so the now and then should be taken care of. my bike does not run hot and i just replaced my plugs they had about six thousand on them and they were perfect could have left them my bike is running tip top

I wish my bike was 100 y.o. then it be worth something. All I'm sayin' A Samson Owner/dealer will comment, 4th is a tuff weekend too get answers.
I would think that for a small heatshield that only costs them a few bucks, that they would just replace it and be done with it, rather than risk the bad press.
Sorry to hear of your issue, that is the reason I did not buy from Samson. I've heard more bad then good about there product. Hope you get the issue resolved..
