The only corrections made with unit are to the injectors and the O2 sensors. There is no connection to the crank sensor, so I do not see how the unit measures this as the company claims. The problem occurrs around 65MPH and up, or when traveling up hill. I am normally riding in 5th or 6th gear at these times. I only use the 6th gear above 65MPH.
The surging you described at high speed is usually associated with a lean condition. Since you can't alter the afr and have no intake leaks, you'll probably have to scrap the tuner. I never heard of that tuner but like Drew said, the power commander works well, I had one on my '06 Road King. There's plenty of posts on here about tuners, so my advice would be to read as many as you can then pull the trigger on one of them.
