tuner or not
I have a new 2011 Blackline and ready to put a SE heavy breather kit and V& H 2-2 big radius pipes. Well i know people who have put pipes on and not done a download or nothing. And then the Harley shop says the 150 dollar download is no good and want us to spend 500 dollars on a race tuner . So do i need a tuner or not . Please help me out

SE Heavy Breather and pipes....you will need a tuner. The download will not be sufficient and you will be running way too lean.
Check ebay. You can get the SE Race tuners all day long on Ebay for around $350. I think I picked mine up for closer to $300. JUST BE SURE ITS NEW! Once the tuner is hooked into the bike, it records the bike info from the computer and marries itself to that bike....and cannot be used on any other bike ever!
Also check around...I found an Indy tuner that does nothing but dyno tuning on motorcycles. Charged me a flat rate $200 unlike the dealers that wanted to charge by the hour for up to and including $400.
