Default fork assembly

Im looking to buy an aftermarket front end. Does anyone I will still be able to use the fork lock.

If you get an entire front end, tripple tree's and all I doubt it as its part of the lower tree.
Most of the aftermarket setups I have seem don't have any kind of provision for the stock lock assembly.

I don't believe I've ever even used my fork lock, lol. I've got the factory alarm on mine so if
you just start to turn the bars it goes off.

Most after market front ends and custom trees do not allow for lock. If you know any machinists it's not hard to do. Using a milling machine or bridgeport you need to machine a offset woodruff slot on the fork stem. You can get the sizes and location off your stock stem. By doing this your stock lock will work. My friend did this to his 01 dyna when he put on custom trees. Hope this info will help.

My Storz Racing forks disable the lock. With a disc lock and an ignition lockout, I feel pretty safe.

The harley stuff still utilizes the fork lock. I just installed their bevelled trees, really quality piece.
