Default What type of switch

I am going to make my bike keyless and install a hidden switch, but not sure what type I need. When looking for switches I am finding 2 position off-on-2on, 3 position on-off-on, and 3 position off-on-on-2on. With the way the key switch works it appears to be a 3 position off-on-on? I can do simple wiring but the selection of switch types is over my head. Any insights?

Thanks

What's the point in making it keyless? It already pretty much is keyless. You only need the key to lock/unlock it and you need the FOB for security. I'm not seeing the point?

So I can just keep the fob in my pocket, hop on, flip the switch and go rather than have the key hanging off the side and flapping in the wind

Is the Rockers ignition system different from a Fatboy's. I don't put my key in anything. I never lock it. I just have my fob in my pocket. Bike won't do anything without it near the bike.

Yeah, and all motorcycles are fuel injected...

I think the 2011 model is keyless, but the early models require the key while running.

Yes. My 2008 currently requires the key to run. Since I do have the security FOB I am not worried about just using a switch for the ACC/ignition

It seems you have the fob attached to the key hence the flapping in the wind.I don't know about which switch would be the right one though.Anyway you can file off the notch on the key, thats what holds it in place on ignition switch.Just do not forget to turn it back off when you shut down.

I think, no actually i'm sure that every harley is not the same.. The rocker requires the ignition switch to be in the run position, which requires the key to turn it. Its not like the dash mounted ignition switches, you unlock it and the entire switch moves without the key. The rocker is a little different!!!!!! right, wrong, right!
