That looks real good, I ordered up the trim piece for my Rocker to do the same thing. Ended up going to a smaller breather. But now that I see how good the Ness worked out ...

Followup

I was able to mitigate the issue fairly well. On the RK-3909 filter there is a rubber ring that is used to position the cover over the filter. I noticed that this ring was needlessly tall as the cover has about a 1/4 inch gap between the filter nut and cover. Using an Exacto blade I shaved off slightly less then 1/4 inch of the ring. This moved the cover inward and I feel now it is in the stock position.
