Default bent frame neck...???

I have a 98 Fatboy and after alot of checking things because of bad cornering i tried the " straight edge " method of checking wheel offset between front and rear wheels and found i have close to an inch and a half of offset....the front wheel is offset to the right....specks call for about a half inch....guess this would explain hard cornering to the right and easy to the left....any ideas ?????/

Are they stock or aftermarket wheels? Sounds kind of weird that it would be that far off on a completely stock bike.

Have you ever had your forks rebuilt? I would suspect bent tubes or bad seals before a bent neck unless it's been in a significant crash. Being off that far, are you sure you're checking it correctly? I'm not trying to second guess your method but that seems excessive. Maybe double check to make sure your rear wheel is aligned properly?
