Has anyone tried the Mid-Frame Air Deflector on their softballs. I was just looking at parts on harleys site and came across it. The part # is 29200008. Here is a link to the page http://www.harley-davidson.com/gma/g...bmLocale=en_US
i've heard them called crotch coolers.. i understand they work pretty good and have been looking at them also. i wonder why they don't fit a 07' ? that price is actually cheaper then aftermarket.
Our crotch coolers work very well, and are very easy to install..And we are having a sale..

I really don't like the look of the aftermarket ones. But this is just my opinion. At least in the pic on harleys site it looks like they belong there. I just wonder if they work.
I will tell you that a large part of the crotch coolers that we sell for Softails is because of people burning themselves on the Oil dipstick which our product does cover..But leaves plenty of room to check your oil..
I have the Captain's crotch cooler and love it. It goes on and off extremely easy so I can remove it when I want to. I only need to relocate my coil now since it is right against the leather piece and that would look better laying flatter imo.
I just recently received my crotch cooler from Capt.Itch, and after riding in the 95-100 degree weather,I can tell you it works great.I used to get the most heat on the back of my right thigh, surprisingly, when I had my feet on the highway pegs.I wondered if it would flap about when I had my feet up,but riding today from 10am to 2pm in more traffic than I expected the cooler worked like a charm, stayed where it should and did the job.Kudos to the Capt. and Isabelle for great customer service, had it delivered in 3 days, just in time for the heat wave!
I have the smoked type on my '07 Heritage. They were on it when I bought it, so don't know how they work compared to none at all. I installed an oil pressure gauge, and it sat up too far to use the shields. So, I positioned the shields over the gauge, and looked straight down, and roughed out the outline with a sharpie, then cut the circle out with a hole saw & smoothed up the curves on the bench grinder. The material is easy to drill & work with. BUT...The oil pressure gauge gets so hot you can't touch it, and it will burn my thigh at a stoplight, unless I squirm around away from it.
