Default Another Exhaust Question

First off new to forum and new to harely and the amount I've learned on this forum the last few months is amazing. I recently purchased a blackline and want to change out the exhaust system but the choices are so vast that a decision seems impossible. The main question I have is what is the difference between the V&H short shots and the big shots? Just looking on the website the only difference I see is the big shots are a little longer but there is a pretty good price jump. All systems seem to have similar styles as these two so if anyone has other suggestions I'm all ears. Thanks

The big shots have a "power chamber" for better exhaust scavenging. This chamber is a point at which both pipes are connected together and flow as one. The short shots are two completely separate pipes.

I would base my decision on personal preference as to what style pipes you want. 2 into 1 pipes and the longer 2 into 2 pipes will give you more torque. Sound and performance varies among all the pipes. If you want a certain sound then check out some sound clips of different systems or check out some of the local bikes with a sound and look that you want.

Are you losing anything by going with the shorts over the big shots? I'm after sound more than performance, bikes already fast enough for me.

Not really. The idea behidn teh pwoer chamber is to prodcue more power but the regular short shots will do you fine.
