Yes I know. I just got excited last night. A good nights sleep has helped. I think I will re-look at the situation today. If space allows, I will drill the fender and bolt it in place with some thin rubber isolators. Use paint and silicon to protect the fender from rusting.

Thanks a special thanks to Cryan9 for sending me some picks of his install.

Been having the same issue with mine and I thought it was because the PCV I got was a retrofit for 07-08. Since I have the ECM tray there isnt room to move it up on the fender. Currently I have the seat sitting atop of the pigtail but I may take a dremel to the underside of the seat and make a bit more room. Oh and the stock seat I couldnt make fit at all but lucklily the badlander seat I have fits a bit better. Since this pic the allen screws are out and the ECM is slid all the way to the top but the pigail is whats in the way...

Alas, I just spent 2 hours with a fellow who has owned and worked on Harleys for 20 years and whom I trust implicitly. Even with removing the ECM bracket and moving the ECM up, there is not enough room under the stock seat. It seems just about everything has changed on the 2007-2008 models. I friend also thought the seat was a special one made only for the anniversary models.

The ONLY other option we looked at was to place the pigtail connection behind the mudguard. However, on the 2008s this area has the potential of getting VERY wet. The plug that comes with the PC-V is does not look water tight (where the loom enters the plug).

Time to toss some more cash at the problem and get a SERT and dyno run.

I have a Fuelpak (about the same size as PC-V I think) on my 2009 Fatboy... yes it's a tight fit but not impossible. I had to unscrew the ECM from the bike in order to plug the Fuekpak in, but then screwed the ECM back into the factory harness. I then placed zip tied Fuelpak on top of the battery and removed the rubber plug that was on the bottom of the seat so that the stock seat would fit back in the proper place. Don't give up,... it's painfully annoying how tight things are under there but not impossible.

First I have herd where someone had a problem fitting a PCV to their stock bike with stock seat as per the directions. On the Fatboy Lo I was told it was even tighter to fit it but my self and others have done it and it works fine.

Does your setup not come with a deeper ecm tray? I know with mine with the new tray there was lots of room for the harness.

Nope, just a flattened area on the fender for the ECM. We tried everything to get it to fit but too no avail. Gave up - time to move on to a SERT.

Never gave up on something so simple in my life. Modification is all about finding a way to "make it work". What fun is bolting crap on that everyone else has done. *Shrug*
