Default XIED to PCV

Well as I stated in a thread last week after the road trip I decided that the PCV would be a better choice for me.
As of yesterday I got the PCV and installed it. Took off the XIED's and plugged in the PCV. All went smoothly.
Now upon reading on here is it necessary to ride the bike with the stock sensors again for the computer to relearn before connecting the power commander?
I only was able to run it a few minutes around the block and it seemed okay. Smelled rich but I am sure that I am only over thinking this.
I bought the power commander from fuel moto of course.

I did axactly what you did...except I didn't give the ECM enough time/milage to go back to stock settings.
If you don't get the ECM back to original, it may result in overly rich AFR.
Jaime at FuelMoto recommended that I ride the bike for at least 200 miles prior to connecting the PCV. This will get the ECM back to stock settings.
The other way is to disconnect the ECM for a period of time...say 1 hour.

Prior to doing this, I had terrible milage with the PCV, and had no idea why. After Jaime explained it in detail...it makes sense.

Good luck and post how your results go!

Your post is exactly what got me to thinking about all of this. I would rather just unplug it for a period of time than ride it that lean for 200 miles since I run the big sucker and fuel moto 3.5 dyno tuned pipes.
I am waiting to hear back from Jamie on something else and then will ask him about this as well but wanted to see what the good people on here had to say.
