Can someone explain how to tell if your running the current PC-V and Auto Tune software/firmware, and if not, the procedure to perform the upgrade.
Thanks in advance...........Rich
Current version of PC-V software is 1.03.2
You can find the version you have on your computer by:
Load the software and click on help then click on About
Application version 1.0.3.2 - the newest.
Lastest version of firmware, (this is the software that runs on the PC-V it self is 0.1.4.0).
You can see what version you have by:
hook your computer up to the PC-V and run the software.
Click on View then click on Device information, it is the fifth line down Firmare Version.
If you are running the older version you can down load from Dynojet
I was just told by fuel moto today to update everything. Pretty easy, if you google dynojet go the the first result and click on downloads. Then all you have to do is go to the PCV and download the firmware update. You will need the new software as well that is listed. Open the software, hook up to your PCV and click on Power Commander tools and it will give you an option to upgrade firmware. When you open that it will pretty much ask where you have the firmware file at. Click where you have it(save it to desktop) and off it goes. The guys at fuel moto told me that the first time it loads it will probably fail, thats alright just do it all again and it will take. Thats how mine went and it seems to be fine. Maybe its just me but it seems that it took care of my hard starts when the bike it hot. Hope this helps.
By the way the Fuel Moto boys also told me that Dynojet is also working on the fix for the Tach on the 08 newer bikes with the FBW. Not sure how long it willl take but they are aware and they are working on it. I refuse to pay the local HD shop to flash my ecm just for that. Just FYI
Soooo....if one was to update it does not effect the map already loaded? I still have my new F/M autotune on my workbench, going to have to load it up soon.

From what I got from the Moto boys it does not. I saved it before I did everything, did the firmware upgrade and resent it back just to make sure. I think you will be fine any problems call Moto.

I'd done a google search for power commander V downloads, and wound up on a page with the old version on it, so make sure it says 1.0.3.3
Well I just got done down loading and installing the current versions of the software and the firmware. Everything installed correctly as far as I can tell and now when the bike is running, it does not show eng temp, fuel adjust, or AFR's. Those are all reading 0, it does however show RPM's and duty cycle (what ever that is). guess a call to jamie is in order for monday morning
Yes, be aware that the download will more than likely fail the first time. I recently upgraded both software and firmware on mine and it took me 3 tries before it completed successfully.
