Metal rub sound when front wheel is rolling

A lot of this has to do with the composition of teh brake pads. I had some stock Pm pads in my caliper and they made the rubbing sound. I changed the pads and cleaned the pistons and added Lyndall pads and the sound went away. Now I only hear the pads when I squeeze the brake lever.
Yup, the brakes rub a bit on Harley's. Part of the reason is the pistons are not sealed so over time they get brake dust caked around them and don't retract as easily. One solution: at each tire change, pull the caliper, leave pads in and pump the brake slightly until you see clean silver piston. Then take a shoelace soaked in brake cleaner use it to floss around the outer surface of each piston. Then retract the pistons completely and reinstall. It helps quite a bit, you'd be surprised how much crap gets built up inside those calipers.
