I was riding yesterday and as I was riding next to a divider wall, I noticed the my Vance and Hines Big Radius 2-into-2s sounded pretty raspy. If I had to relate it to cars...it sounds like glass packs and the sound I'm looking for is that of chambered muffler.
I've heard that Big City Thunder baffles can help this. Has anyone switched from the stock baffles to the Big Citcy Thunder baffles and like it? Any help is appreciated.
Do you have baffles in the pipes now? Baffles will give you a deeper, less harsh tone but it will still be loud. It should give you a little back pressure too which would relate to a little more low end torque.

I had BCTs in my Longshots. They help give a deeper exhaust tone than the standard baffles. It was less raspy but the rasp was still there. I switched to a Propipe. For now I like the 2-1 tone much better.
The BCT baffles make the tone deeper, getting rid of alot of the raspy noise. I have ran those baffles on both of my bikes and love them. The sound is great. I run the standard ones. I've heard the QQ baffles tone the raspy noise down even more.
I just put em in last month. I like em. They sound about as loud as a bike should be. I previously took out the baffles and the bike sounded like a loud boat. Now its got a deep rumble without being too over the top. It has a little pop here and there.
I have BTC baffles in the factory head pipes of my Street Bob. I was running Rush Slip ons with the stock motor and had them install after a recent rebuild.
I don't know how much different they sound over the Rush with the 10.25 to 1 pistons, larger heads and new cam but motor sounds great on.
I have them on my V&H Bigshot Longs... and I love them. I have been running them for about 3-4 years now, and I would definitely buy them again! I have the standard versions. I heard the QQ's are quite a bit "softer / quieter" then the standards.
