I have a classic springer that I am going to be changing from apes to beach bars.
My question is if I take it in to get swapped out how many hours should they charge me for.? All have all the cables and parts ready. Thx guys
When I did mine the local stealership wanted 750ish labor only, so I bought me the shop manual did a search on here and did it myself. I dont trust my local HD stealership. Do it yourself save the denero and learn your bike.
Its about $600 in labor here in the northeast at a dealer. $80 an hour for 7.5 hours in the service book. Even if they do it faster thats what they'll charge. Fair for the mechanics but hard on the wallet..
The avrg is about $500 big ones. I would second what Santo said and if you have your manual, review a few posts, you should do it yourself. Think of what you can buy with $500-$700 bucks.

yep, that.
This is a pretty straightforward and simple procedure. Might as well do internal wiring at the same time, which is the hardest part, and still pretty easy. The whole thing is actually a pretty fun project that you can do in a day.
