If you want to remove the indicator, unclip the wire in the rear light, take of the fender strut. Pull the wires through the hole. The indicators are bolted on to the strut.

If you have to replace them, you have to basically buy the whole indicator unit.

Easiest way to get the strut of is to loosen the torx bolts a bit - heat the bolts before you do that, unclip wire harness for rear lights/indicators, and take of the whole fender (2 torx bolts each side that attach struts to frame.)

On my 2005 SE Fat Boy, I unplugged the rear signal wires from the tail light, as in the picture. My wires would not pull out though the holes without cutting off the end connections. I left enough wire to easily splice the wires back together. I did this over 4 years ago and never have had a problem.

talkin bout the reflector part for the bulb, if you look there is a small bit of rubber that surrounds the whole reflector, if you pry in with a really small flat head between the rubber and signal bucket you can pop it out. but i dont know where your going with this idea to remove the signal, when all you have to do is unclip the connector and run the wires through the fender and strut, or you cn cut the wires and solder them back together when done.

Just thought there may be a connector inside the signal is all, once I get my new signal I'll just do the swap.

no, the wires are soldered into theat reflector part, u could possibly heat the solder points and remove the wires then resolder them in place but that is probably more hassle than the other two routes

The new signals don't come with the connectors. they just have the two wires and longer than you need. Just cut to size and splice to old wires. You can get new plugs too and pins if you choose
