OK, Had some type of stomace thing going on for a month and now back on my feet. Rode the 2010 fat boy today and thinking on a dual exhaust for it. I looked in the books and see a lot for dressers but what about soft tails? Anyone recomend a good sounding pipe set up? Had V&H big radius but every one here has therse and want something different. Can I do the so cal look on a fat boy? Long pipes? Thanks
check out the Bassani True Duals, or the Samsons should fit as well. Samson is also a forum sponsor so you can probably get a quick answer from them about some duals.
I also had V&H BR's(2 sets). At first I had to have them, then saw them every where. Now I can't stand them. I don't mean this to insult anyone.
Then I heard of a company called Freedom Performance. Heard alot of people disliked them. I decided check them out. Saw a set that caught my eye and now I get compliments everytime I ride about the new pipes.
Here's a link to their duals http://www.freedomperform.com/shop/?...=3&category=19
i came accross that site yesterday, some arent bad. i am also kinda window shopping for pipes, i have a set of drag pipes on my bike now, i love the way they sound and get compliments on the tone of em also, its weird cuz they sound better than any other drag pipes i've heard. i love the looks of the BR2-2 but hate how common they are as well, would love to find a nice set of pipes that are a bit more wicked lookin than the standard 2 pipes straight back...but i want em loud. have a few in mind that i love the looks of but am turned away only cuz i have no idea what they sound like...how are martin brothers pipes? any ideas of whats a lil more radical looking but loud?
Samson has very many styles of pipes. We have over 577 different exhaust. Please visit us on the web or give us a call for personal service.
thank you,
JR
05, I ran my BR's baffle less and they were loud, but kinda had a tin can sound to them. The freedom pipe, again without baffles....all I can say is they F-N Roar! But yeah they don't have any really radical looking ones.

wonder how these are? kinda like the big radius 2-2's but the have a tripple step header and the rear pipe seems to be longer than the big radius, i have been told that the reason the BR 2-2 doesnt put out any power really is because of the rear pipe being so short. bet these may sound nice without the baffles http://www.freedomperform.com/shop/?...product_id=208
05, those pipes were actually the one I was looking at before getting my 2nd BR set.
What I can tell from the ones I got, is the step up in the pipe is at around 2/3rds of the pipe. So running baffle less in this pipe I didn't lose as much lowend as the BR pipes. I will eventually install my BCT baffles that I had in the BR pipes, just enjoying the loudness right now...LOL
Oh yeah I got my Freedom pipes from JP Cycles, I got a KILLER deal!
