Loud Noises!
Bah! So, I ride with headphones a lot. Mostly for hearing protection, partly for entertainment.
Last week I had a date across town and rode my Night Train for the first time without headphones in quite awhile.
Before I noticed a bit of "whirring" noise coming from my primary but thought it was just the chain tensioner. Well last week on my date it sounded rougher than normal.
Dropped the NT off at my Indy yesterday. We both think it's either the Inner Primary Bearing or the clutch hub bearing.
Indy is gonna tear into the primary and inspect everything. Replace both bearings, at the min.
Really sucks tearing into the primary at 2.5 years/24K miles, even tho a lot of the guys that have been around Harley for awhile would have dreamed for the reliability that we get today.
Bah. Just bummed I'm without the NIght Train for a week+ in the middle of the season.
Back to the Snowshoe Mtn bachelor party!
