Can you do anything to make these louder? I have the 1.5" baffle and its too high pitched. Can you do anything to get a deeper tone besides buying new ones?
Thanks for the info. I bought them used so I dont know how old they are and they are on my heritage. I have a post in the wanted to buy section. I was hoping I could save some money.
High pitched? Hmm. Maybe because of the baffle size. Both my hubby and I have had Rush slipons and LOVE the sound because they DO have a nice rumble. But we have always had 2.00 ( a bit loud) and now on his bike (and the Street Bob I just traded in) we ran 1.75 and the sound is great. In fact we've had lots of compliments on the sound. Yeah, i would recommend just buying a different size baffle and sell the 1.50s

you're gonna need to figure out what system you have in order to switch out the baffles.
There is no paper in the Rush pipes or on the baffles, there is the fiberglass wrap that goes around the baffles. thats what gives U the deep sound.. remove it and I have no idea what it'll sound like. IMO it won;t be good.
My problem is I bought the slip ons for a good price but if I spend $70 on baffles I can get a used full exhaust off ebay. So do I buy baffles and hope I like the sound or sell them and pick up a v&h or supertrapp 2into2 system.
