come on down to south texas, you can run a gps on me if you think a harley wont do these speeds. honestly i would get rid of any bike that wont break a buck twenty. Got a new triumph 650 that didnt do it a few weeks ago, til i built pipes and retuned it. now it does it and you dont even realize it.

Different strokes for different folks I guess
if my ol' lady wanted to feel it that fast, i want her to learn to ride and do it on her own, i agree about just as dead at 85 as 100+, but i dont want the extra variable of a passenger shifting there weight or what ever it may be at that speed. or the fact of if we were to go down while "playing around" on the bike at any speeds and she dont make it, i couldnt live with myself knowing shes dead cuz i was f**kin off. am i confident in myself to do so....absolutely... but i wont take that chance.
but your right "differant strokes for differant folks"
i knew an *** on a crotch rocket that killed his passenger by doin a wheelie on the highway with her. Its just stupid IMO

consistantly ride 75-85 on highway.
it was the one on the back who wanted to see what it would do. we cruise on the rocket in west and north texas at 100 plus on regular basis, I guess 165 on the rocket is bad to then huh?

Had her up to 80 a couple times...

157 indicated on a bike with the front sprocket down a tooth, so probably about 147. Turn 1 at Summit Point was coming up.

I had the Deuce I'm purchasing up to 90 on the interstate during a test ride for a bit and the sail analogy springs to mind. It's a lot different on a sport bike where you can tuck a bit and the wind goes right over you. The speed limit on the interstate in WV here is 70, but you can easily be doing 90+ without knowing it. It's just not very comfortable after 30 minutes of being stuck in the same position.
