Huh? Who's Harley and why is he smoking so much weed?
Didn't make that up. Not why I don't go fast on my bike. Have a 46 Chevy and I don't go fast in either. Just figured the OP had never read it. This is in manual and is not referring to tires since the speed rating on my tires is way above that. May just be in my 04 manual. Sure Harley has made major improvements in handling quality over the years. HA.HA
and I only do good Ganja, not weed

"09 Heritage, 96", K&N in and Rinehart out & speedo indicated 110 mph and pulling. Only there for an instant and way too fast for me and the Black Beauty, the H-D, not the wife. Very seldome will I exceed the posted speed limit. Safety and comfort important but mostly I don't want to be bothered by the LEO. 'Back in the day', if he stopped me, I got a ticket. If I went before the Judge, I went to jail. Sometimes good boys do bad things and get caught. Old age alters the actions.
112-114mph on my old evo. i was suprised that the bike had more pull on the top end than my 06 dyna did! its was very smooth at that speed, but not very relaxing for me though!! ive only done that a couple of times.
I have to be honest some of these numbers i have just read on this thread are inflated
I reckon these guys have been straight with their posts, the numbers seem reasonable. The inflation might be being done by the speedo - I guess it's likely that it's at least 10% too high, although it's a moot point when the needles bouncing off the stop.
125mph few days ago, straight road, no traffic, early evening, two up. previously 115 solo. found out at 125 the headlight burnsout due to vibration. won't be doing that again, since the bulb is an obsolete number now.
05 built custom softail. using 91 Evo engine/trans/
two up? i have no respect for people like this, solo is all good but dont put someone elses life at risk playin around.
had my train up to 113mph, she had more in her but i just wanted to go faster than i did on my old bike which topped out at 112.
consistantly ride 75-85 on highway.
I think the fastest i've gone 2-up is like 65mph on a sportster. i haven't had any passengers on the fatboy yet, and even still I wouldn't go much faster than that.

Maybe she "wanted" to experience the thrill of doing 100+ on a bike. My GF did, so I took it up to 114 and leaned over so she could see the speedo. She got a big thrill out of it and we were never in any more danger than doing it at 85. We'd be just as dead crashing at 85 as we would at 100+
