guess thats depending on your skill level, bike ability and road conditions. plenty of bikes on road today will safely break 200mph barrier. thats pushing the limit for me, even solo. did it once when buddy got new Busa, just because he wanted proof it would do it and was afraid to try.

All bikes should be limited to something like 18 stock. The first year busa was one that wasn't. After that the manufacturers went to a voluntary self imposed limited so that they wouldn't face government limits.
I don't know of one stock bike today that will break 200. The 600 race reps should be able to hit about 170 something and even with the limits, the 1K RRs shouldn't be able to. The ZX14 may with the limiter removed, but even the Busa would only actually get up to 190 +/-.
wow i cant believe what i am reading here. stock bikes hitting 200 mph i do not believe that there is one stock harley that can hit 200 mph they wont even hit 150 mph and some of them would not even make 120mph. i do not know what planet some of these guys live on. i have a built 95 and i buried the speedo once and i know i could never hit 200 mph i do not think i could have hit 150 but a stock Harley at 200 NO WAY
Got hauled to jail in 1984 for doing 132 on a Suzuki GS850L. Cop that got me probably saved my life. Had my Fatboy up around 100 a couple times trying to keep up with others, but don't really care for it much anymore.
Some people want to get where they want to be faster.
If I'm riding, I'm already where I want to be.
I couldn't have said it better myself, though I will admit that I'd like to be able to pull the front wheel up when I roll the throttle on at 60 mph. I just want it all I guess.
