Default extra wire length after ape install

What did you guys do with the extra length of wires? Mine is ziptied to the right side of the frame. I guess I can take a pic but what did you guys do? Leave it under the tank? Or shorten it to just what you needed? I really am not happy with the way it looks.

OK well I went out and think I got it figured out. Just pushed the extra back in under the tank and ziptied it to the tab on the gas tank.

I'm confused. Are you saying when you extended the wires for your new apes you now have "extra" wire that you need to hide? I think you went too long with the wires then. I would have cut them to make them fit.

I went with the Burly 14" kit and the 14" burly narrow apes. There does seem to be too much wire. And yes it is just an issue of hiding it. I guess I got it figured out for now. Not really looking to cut and shorten all that crap.

I just bought a kit that contained blank wire in the proper colors covered by a rubber sheath. Unsoldered the originals from the switches and soldered the new to the switches. Under the tank, I spliced (soldered) the new to the old leaving about 8 inches of extra wire. You can (almost) never have too much wire but it sucks to be short an inch and besides, I'm adding taller risers shortly. I doubled this over and tie wrapped it to the right side of the frame under the tank. It only looks ugly when the right tank is off.
