My opinon only. I believe every body like's their clutch a little different. I like mine so I just barely pull it and it's engaged, but that's me. I adjust it to fit what I like. You can do the same ain't hard, buy a manual and do it your self. You can't really hurt any thing, as long as it ain't slipping when engaged, if you do it by the book. Forgot there is a video on DIY network on adjusting the chutch too.

I will offer my advise, the clutch will never feel like it did when you brought it in for service when you get it back. Like the above poster stated it's done by what you like, where it grabs. Do you need a new clutch? No, I don't think so. now the derby was removed and adjusted just adjust the lever to what you like, very simple. As far as tires go, the stockers don't stick like others do nor feel the same, will they slip most likely no, they just feel funky. After I installed Avons on my bike it felt so much better. Another thing may be the seating postion i.e. handlebars seat foot postion all has play in what they feel like in a curve

Thanks guys, I guess I'm just nuts. That tire feeling like its slipping on the roadway has scared me several times. I was so used to the old bike sticking like glue to the asphalt. I'll keep riding.
