Hey I am wanting to lower my 06 heritage put can't afford air ride at the time being. I have also heard mention of a shotgun shock but I have no idea what it is. I'm looking into the arlenn Ness softail lowering kit that has shorter front dampers and some different bolts for the rear. Also has shorter jiffy. I am a bit uneducated in this area but I ride 2 up at least 50% of the time. Is this gonna kill the ride of my bike? Not lookin for opinions on air rides, can't swing that for awhile. Some of us are in a recession. Lol. Thanks for info.
We are currently working on Front Lowering kits but at this time we dont have any available
Thank you
I suspect you should have that site proof read before posting. I don't think they meant it as it is typed. "No expense Shared."
I have a set of Ebay bolts on mine. It does a good job at setting height and as long as you don't go too close to the bumps it does not really effect ride. I tried for the full 2" lower but ended up with road rash on my fatcat. I bumped it up another 3/4" and no more scraping unless I really try.
if you get 20 dollar lowering bolts, you will bottom out every time you hid a pebble and your *** will hate you for it. Save your money and get some progressive 422s. I have found them for 200 bucks and they can be loaded for riding 2 up. Dont waste your money and time on something that you are going to hate. Trust me... I have half assed everything on a bike that you can half *** and it aint worth it
VMSRACING are great guys to deal with. I purchased my lowering bolts from them at their Ebay store for $16.99 shipped. I had them in hand within 3 days. After you install them you can tighten up the preload on your shocks and that will help a lot. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/HARLE...item3cb7d37251
Then purchase a Progressive 10-2003 drop in lowering kit for the front and get the lowered stand from the dealer. Save yourself some money. Or for the front you could go with a set of FLH tubes which will lower the front 2".
