Need your advice boys....
Okay, so I have a 2011 Fatboy Lo, White Denim, want to trim it out. Right now it's all stock parts, so the primary is not chrome, but rather satin finish. Black motor.
Question....standard chrome will look funny up against the satin, so what would you suggest....black or spend the money to get the chrome parts powder coated to match the primary.
Thoughts?

Have you checked the thread " Calling all FatBoy Lo Owners" ?

There are alot of pics from people who have customized their Fat Boy Lo's.
Most of them are Denim Black but you will get an idea about what you want when you see these bikes.

IMO I think you should go with blacking out the satin chrome parts. That's what I'm going to do with my Fat Boy Lo when I get it this fall. Since you're bike is white the black will contrast a lot more then the chrome would and make your paint stand out more. I also think that staying away from adding more chrome would be the easiest way to keep your bike from looking tacky or overdone. Some guys go kind of overboard IMO with the Kuryakin chrome extras and covers for everything. If you go black and white it would be a pretty simple understated cool look.
Stick with the theme of the low; flat, muted, understated badass! If you wanted chrome and shiny stuff you probably would've bought a regular fatboy and just lowered it. Look through the pic thread (link in above post), lots of great ideas there! Cheers!

You might even think about getting rid of the stock exhaust with the satin mufflers and go with something that's black all the way...vance and hines is what I used, but there's others as well. If you get a shorter set than stock it will also open up the rear tire area visually...as well as make room for bigger saddlebags should you ever want to put them on.
Hope that helps...good looking bike!
