mustang seat looks like it belongs on your bike....whereas the other one...not so much, it was really fighting the retro vibe!

That is a gorgeous "cobra shaped" seat. I have one (LePera, king cobra). Check out the difference between arrays.

Regards.

Butt, yes... passenger won't stand it for more than 2 blocks who cares???

They are Arlen Ness Torpedo covers. I got them on eBay.

So who knows how I can get rid of those big nuts that were used to mount the OEM seat? The bib has the holes there to match and thats what holds the front of the bib in place. The problem is the bracket that is under the fender sticks up through. Those are not threaded holes in the fender like the other ones.

If you remove the white washers from the top of the studs the bracket will slip out under the fender. Getting it back on is a little more difficult, you have to take the screws out of the black box and pull it forward to gain access to the underside of the fender and slide the bracket back in place. I have a similar setup on my Springer Classic with the stock solo seat and replaced the big nuts with small acorn nuts because I did not like the look.

sorry to go off topic Hogtie but did you have to remove the rear brake caliper to install the axle covers?

I know about the bracket that comes out. I was wondering if there was something else to hold down the bib. I guess I could drop in a crome bolt of some kind from the top but the nut on the bottom would be hell to get on.
