Default True duals /w sidemount plate

Is anyone running true duals with a side mount plate?..

anyone know which side mount (horizontal not vertical) plate bracket will give enough clearance for the exhaust.

Id love to run vert, but I had made one, and within 6 hours had already gotten a $180 ticket for a vert plate... damn rcmp.

I think you can run the heartland plate that mounts to the foot peg. You can probably run their side mount that attaches to the swing arm, and attach to the top portion of the swing arm as well. Give them a call to make sure.

Talk top Jake or Josh. (310)822-2697. Tell them I sent you please.

Jireh Cycles..... It was around $130. Comes in chrome with an LEd plate light. I had to add a couple spacers to bring it out about an inch

I haven't seen the kurakyn one so I'm not sure.. The Jireh one uses the belt guard mounts.

The Kury one mounts with a clamp that I my buddy had to buy separately. It should work on the upper swingarm just fine.

Heres a pic of the kury horizontal mount. Its attached to the upper tube of the swingarm. I like it.

The one thing to consider on the swingarm mounted plate with duals is that the swingarm moves independently of the pipes as the pipes are mounted to the frame and the swing arm is a separate entity. Just a thought.

oh yea, good thought Drew...

When your rear end is aired out, do you think a sidemount attached to the swing arm would hit the exhaust?...

I just hate doing things twice, so im trying to take all things into consideration before buying them lol

Thanks again guys

I think it depends on where it is mounted. My concern would be the amount of travel in the swing arm while moving and hitting a big bump. I avhe not done any testing on this as I was in the same boat as you and no one had any answers for me.
