Tail light Help, Please

I have relocated my tail light with a side mount (axel mount) bracket. The problem I am having is the tail light filliment keeps breaking. The brake light seems to stay intact but the tail light burns out after 2 to 3 weeks. (I ride about 300 miles plus a week). A buddy of mine suggested going LED.
Here is my Question: Does any one make an LED that fits an 1157 socket that works the same as a dual fillament bulb (both tail and brake light)? Where can I get one?

Yes, check E Bay. I've never bought one but they are for sale all the time.

1157 is extremely common. Check your local auto parts store (pepboys, autozone, etc). I got mine from the local stealership and it was a drag specialties brand.

Thanks, Doc. Can I put the red LED behind the red lens or do I need to get a clear or smoked lens?

run the red lense with the red LED. that will give you the brighest combo. I had same problem on my sportbike when firming up the rear suspension. a week tops and taillight burned out everytime. a year now with and LED i got at 4states truck parts and still going.
