Went to the dealer a few weeks ago and had the stock bars removed and we tried 5 different bars. I finally settled on the road king touring bars. Also had black braided cables put on since they needed to be changed anyway. These bars are quite an improvement in comfort over the stock bars.
Kinda funny.
I know 4 guys that removed there Road King bars and put on Heritage bars because they said they where a lot more comfortable, mostly on longer rides and trips are where they really like them
Just goes to show we all have different likes and dislikes.

With the risers on the deluxe the touring bars set about the same height as the heritage bars.
I changed to heritage style bars on my RKC awhile back. So just for the heck of it, I threw the stock bars off my bike on to the wife's deluxe. Along with the lower seat she has, and the risers on the deluxe, she loves these bars. And I didn't need to change wires/cables. I found enough extra slack in there. She says the longer miles are way more comfortable now.
