okay, first off, i did post this in the wtb section, but after a couple of days and no hits, thought i would try here.

i have an 07 road king custom. it comes stock with the beach bars. well, i think they kinda suck. i don't like the angle that they place my wrists at, like a wheelbarrow.

so, i had a line on some reduced reach bars, but the lister decided he wanted to keep them for a little while longer and give them more time. what i'm looking for is a set of bars to use as an alternative to the stock bars, that are good for a guy with short arms. i would love to get the chubbies, but 200 bones is a lot to pay right now.

so anyone who can help me out with some cheap options, i would greatly appreciate it.

(yes, i know that stock bars are fairly cheap from the dealer, but i hate to spend 50 bucks and then find out that these bars aren't quite what i wanted either. hoping to alleviate that)

thanks

I swapped for heritage bars on my RKC. I tried the flanders extended reach, had the same angle just 2 inches closer. Stock RK bars are tough on the wrist if you do alot of riding.

HEY PAL, I HAVE A 05 ROADKING CUSTOM. I TOO THINK THOSE BEACH BARS SUCK. I BOUGHT THE REDUCED REACH TOURING BARS FROM HARLEY. I LOVE THEM. AND THEY ARE ONLY $49.00. OR YOU CAN ORDER THEM ON LINE FROM SURDYKE.COM AND GET TWENTY PERCENT OFF. HOPE THIS HELP------------HDRIFFER

I just went through this. I bough a set of Chubby's and ran them for a month, I hated them. I then bought a set of Heritage bars from Harley for 50 bucks and LOVE it. The good news is I can now change the bars on my RKClassic in an hour.

It has made the bike FAR more comfy.
