I figure you guys are the ones to ask so here goes.
I have a 2010 Fatboy (NOT the Lo) that is still all factory except engine guards and a windshield.
I am wanting to change the exhaust (the factory has to be the worst placed ever) and the air cleaner. I know I need to add a controller/ fuel thing as well.
I have looked at Rinehart, Vance and Hines, Patriot, etc exhausts and K&N, Vance and Hines, etc intakes. I think I would like the radical look of the K&N exhaust and shorter "loud pipes"..
What do y'all suggest? If you have pictures I'm sure everyone would like to see them as well as me.
Thank you in advance for your expert opinions.
Ron
Hey captainron69,
I have a Vance & Hines FuelPak for that 2010 Fat Boy for sale if ya want it. $180 shipped. It's part# 61007A (07-11) softail with 200mm tire.
It works great if you are only adding pipes and an air cleaner. It only took me about 10 minutes to install and program it. (Plug-n-Play)
I took it off my 2010 Fat Boy Lo when I traded it in on a 2012. I was gonna use it on that but they changed the ECU this year so I have to wait till V&H comes out with the new one for my bike.
Pm me if you are interested.
I've got V&H Short Staggered and the Fuelpak............runs great sounds awesome! Just rode 6K in the last three weeks and the worst gas mileage was in the high 40's.
I have an 08 Fatboy. I just got the Vance and Hines Big Radius 2 into 1. If you like a more radical look for a Fatboy, this is your pipe. What a hog leg on the business end. I haven't put mine on yet but what I heard at Sturgis was awesome. I posted a pic I found. I have a V&H FuelPak and I'm going with a SE Heavy Breather ASAP. Again...I like the look and the performance is great.
