DO NOT RIDE BEYOND YOUR LIMITS!! And know what your limits are.
I did the same thing. My Lo was my first scoot. I did the parking lot thing a good bit to work on slow speed maneuvers and handling......and I still do from time to time. And the first few rides I did were not long rides at all, maybe 30 miles or so on roads that I felt comfortable on.
Don't let other motorists control your riding. Its your *** and your life. If they don't like your pace, they can pass you. Otherwise, they just need to settle down cause it won't be long and you'll be the one riding there *** and giving them the finger to get the hell out of your way!
Congrats on the bike. And just remember, the bike is the down-payment on the accessories. So you better put Drew's number in your speed dial list!
The Deluxe is a GREAT looking scoot. Take your time and DON'T get over confident. The best advice is to take a riders course.
i agree, riders course is worth every penny,i thought i could ride till i took the course, learned allot,,my instructor had good advice, treat everyone on the road in there cars like they can not see you and never get complacent ,,
The say HD stands for another Hundred Dollars If you frequent this forum it will stand for Hundreds of dollars, these guys are a BAD influence, welcome, take a riding course, and I hope you have deep pockets, good luck, ride safe
I took my bike out today for the first time...Just some simple neighborhood cruising up and down the block. Second ride, took it to the gas station about a mile away. Third ride, took it a little further. THIS BIKE IS AWESOME!!! I think I need to blow off work the rest of the week and just ride. I really learned one thing today. I HATE GETTING OFF OF MY BIKE.
Going to take the riders class in a couple of weeks just to be safe. But I must admit. I havent smiled this much in a long effing time! I feel good.
