Default What tyre size

help me out guys
I've got my Dna's and my front 21 is about to arrive, but the 140/16 metz rear that was on order isnt coming, something about back order.
For you guys that are running Dna 16 rear with an air ride on a Deluxe, can you run a 150 without any clearance problems, without playing around with the spacers.
I can get a Metzeler 150, no problem, if I have to go to a 140, it will have to be an Avon Venom, which wont match, If I can, I would prefer to have matching tyres, so hopefully you guys are tell me what I want to hear, that the 150 goes in no problem, with the air ride.

I know they changed the swing arm a little just not sure what year it was.I have a 2010.I ran a Avon 150-80-16 on the stock 16x3 wheel, fit fine .It was tight but worked.I now have a Metz 150-70-18 on a Ride Wright 18x4.25 wheel. It worked as well with the stock spacers. No problems.BUT I know member Lucky 22 put a 150 on his Deluxe and had to have it spaced properly(DNA Wheels).I don't think the offset run true on the DNA Wheels. My best guess it would need custom spacers.I think i would stick with the 130 Metz to be on the safe side if you dont want to mess with spacers.

Do you think there might be issues with a 140?, any problem with running an Avon with a Metz?, other than them not matching.

I see no problem running 2 different tires.Although it would bother me (looks wise).I am **** with stuff like that.Try to PM Country Deluxe.I am pretty sure he is running a 140 Metz on his 06 Deluxe with no problems.

140 Metz works fine on mine, but Ive heard the 140 Avon wont fit. I know for a fact the 150 avon wont fit, its too wide of a tire. Mines a 06 too, run a 140 metz if you can, it will work, no worries

I tried to run a 150 Avon on my 2002 (2000-2006 are all the same). It was too wide and was rubbing on the left side of the fender. I tried to pull the fender out of the way with no luck. I switched to a 130 Avon and have run that size ever since. You can't see the tire much unless you get down on your hands and knees and the bike rides great. I usually run the same brand front and rear however I did run a different brand front with an Avon on the rear and it rode great although tire manufacturers do not recommend mixing brands.

I am running two tires of the same brand now and really don't notice a difference.
I will stick with the 90/16 which is 130 as I don't want to hassle with trying to fit a tire that has already been mounted on the wheel under my fender. It is not worth the hassle for the extra few mm's. The funny thing is I ran a 150 Dunlop on my stock rim without issue. I think part of the issue is the sidewall is a little thicker on a whitewall due to the white. that was the only part that was rubbing the side of the fender.

With my Ride Wright rims I have on now I think it would be fine with a 140 or 150, but like I said, I don't want to hassle with it if it is not. The issue I had was when I was running a DNA 16x3.5 on the rear.

Thanks for the input guys, a 130 metz it is, would of been nice to have had something a little wider, but I just dont want the hassle that it might cause problems, if not now, then when I go with the air ride.
