Default TC 96 Upgrade

I'm looking to upgrade the TC 96 on my 2009 Xbones. I'm sure we can all somewhat agree the stock 96" leaves something to be desired in the performance area. I did a top end job on my '05 Train just bringing it up to 95" and there is no comparison between the two bikes. The 95" has much more power than the stock 96". I have a couple questions that I want to get straight before deciding exactly what size I want to go.

If I am wrong, please correct me, but the following are the different bores and strokes the Motor Company is using on the Twin Cam engines.

Displacement Bore Stroke
96" 3.750 4.375
103" 3.875 4.375
110" 4.000 4.375
113" 4.060 4.375

If I'm right, from what I've read and talked to mechanics, I can increase the displacement to 103" by simply bolting on new 3.875 cylinders and pistons. But if I go to 110" or 113" I will also have to have the cases bored to accept the larger diameter cylinders. Is this correct?

Of course I will also be upgrading the heads, cams, etc. Just trying to decide what size to start at and go from there.

There are kits out there to where you can upgrade to a 107" without touching the cranks but you're right, any bigget than that and then you have to have em bored.

There are a couple of different opinions/urban legends out there on the stock 96 crank and how far you should go with a build. I am not saying one way or another, but you may want to read up on that as well.

Im getting ready to do the 107" on mine with head work and woods-555 cams.

There are alot of Co out there that have been doing the kits for a while and each offers there own perks.
Look at Drago's, Hillcountry cycles and other engine shops and Fuel Moto makes a kit but again one may offer head work in there price and another may include other perks so call around and get feedback from members here. The engine section here on the forum is a great place to get answers from the pros.
I have read that when you get in the 120HP range the crank need to be done but do not take my word for it. Just what I have read hear and there.
Good Luck
