Default Stereo installation

Hey guys, it's seems like I am becoming the stupidest member of the forums with some of these questions. I have just inherited a
BOOM! AUDIO CRUISER AMP AND SPEAKER KIT (windshield mount model), from my brother. He only had it installed on his 2010 Heritage since June and I now have it on my 2009 Heritage. Installation went ok, I can get power to the on/off-volume handle bar mounted controls, but can't get any sound from the speaker. There are only 3 wires to connect for power, red, black & orange/white of which I have tried many combos for attachment to the battery. I connected my 8 gig Ipod touch to the speaker as per the instructions, and also tried with the control module attachment, still no sound.
Anyone have any ideas????????
VERY FRUSTRATING.
P.S. my brother lives in another city 90 miles away, can't get any help from him.

I don't know for sure since I don't have this, but I've done many stereo installs in cars and wiring tend to be universal. Red to power, black to ground(not neg battery terminal), and usually in a car setup an orange/white is related to lights such as night dimming. So they connect to source that triggers with the lights.

Are the controls lighted? That may be what the orange/white does it light it up when the bike ignition is on and the headlight comes on.

I beleive you need to attach the orange/white wire to the white with orange strip wire...this is the ignition "on" wire...you will find it in the wiring harness down by the battery

If you are swapping wires around you likely blew the fuse. Check it if your still having issues after you followed the directions.

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU for lighting my inner Light bulb! I was having trouble with no sound coming from my set up, yet I had power (????) Never even dawned on me about the fuse till I read your response.

Guess what, it was the fuse!
