I bought a 1995 softail and it has a 2 into 1 exhaust. Way too quiet for me. Can I remove the baffle and if so what damage can occur? The bike also has a kuryakyn hypercharger air filter but the carb appears to be stock and I am assuming this is a high flow air breather but the jets in the carb are stock. any help with this matter would be greatly appreciated!!!
If you pull the baffles, you will need to have it dyno'd. Without a tune, power off the line will absolutely suck and it will fall flat on it's face under acceleration. Very short term, it won't hurt anything, long term it will run lean and you might melt a piston. It sounds like you might need a tune anyway having a hi-flow AC and pipes with only stock jetting. You could also try some BCT baffles, might be louder and still maintain a nice power band on the low end. I would still recommend a good dyno tune with whatever you do.
Thanks for the advice! I`m not sure what kind of exhaust it is....I`ve looked and can`t find any markings. I will attach pics and soon as I figure out how...LOL...I am new to this forum so please bare with me!!!
Cannot ID the pipe, but look all around the collector ( usually on the bottomtowards the rear of the pipe) for the bolt (s) that retain the baffle, some baffles are welded in, if it has the bolt the baffle can be removed.

What jets does it have in it? I believe stock jets for that motor are 175 main jet and 45 pilot jet. For stage 1 intake and exhaust I believe it would be 180-185 main jet and 46-48 pilot jet.

It's a carbureted motor with a simple stage 1 with stock cam (or at least the implication is stock cam). You think he will "need to have it dyno'd"?I would hardly call it a necessity for tuning a carbureted stage 1 stock motor. Re-jetting a carburetor is a much simpler deal than re-tuning an EFI, especially with stock valve train and stock heads.
