Winter? What is Winter? Is that when the daytime highs only get into the low 70's? Sad, so sad . . . I will probably have to clean my spokes. On the other hand perhaps I should not plan on being so ambitious? After all it only lasts for a few weeks or so and there are so many spokes . . . .
I was looking for ideas here. My 07 FXSTC came dripping in chrome so there didn't seem much to do. Over time I did add the rear luggage rack and attached a round fork bag onto it for documents, tire plug kit and some small tools.
I added the Skull foot pegs and brake pad to dress them up. Installed a small National Cycle wind deflector. For performance I did the Cobra Fi2000 programer and HD SE stage one breather. That gave a noticeable extra punch and I still get 50 mpg. Do not need to go further as I just putt around and don't need cams or big bore.
The grips could use a little bling and maybe a tach. I don't need a tach so much as I just like to have one. Had the bike since Aug. 08 so it is about time.
I also thought about that old style chrome triangle shaped tool box.
I'm very please with the stock seat so no direction to go there.
I like the stock exhaust too. But the Paul Yaffee designed one's look awesome. I forget who makes them.
So, there is not much to decide on to take it to the point that I am done with any additions.
Doing a heritage fender up front now and possibly shotgun suspension this winter; if funds allow, would also like to do cams, other perfomance mods - I'll proceed with caution since my winter projects usually take me through the summer
Well the Rocker is going to get some performance upgrade I'm looking at a Trask Turbo for my 103 Stage II or I'm going to build more motor with head work new push rods maybe a new cam the SE255 is just to tame for my liking I just can't make up my mind yet. Plus I'm going to put some new bars on my bike and new grips and do a tank lift to match up the lines with my danny grey seat
