Glad everything turned out well! I have to slow or stop almost every morning just after a curve on the back road to the highway to wait for the deer. They just stand there in the middle of the road!
A couple good blips to light up the pipes and usually they move on! Be careful out there, where there is one, there are probably more.
yea I hit a doe last December totaled bike and broke my collar bone. I was doing about 65 when I locked em upland hit it. got it right in front of the back legs. hit it hard enough to knock all it guts out the rear of him. glad to hear u didn't have it that bad. ride on!!!
I know a couple of people who have just missed. If at all possible, I flat out will not ride at night on any back roads where deer are prevalent.
Anybody know if those deer whistles that you mount on your bike really work? It's like a dog whistle I guess (from the wind as you ride down the road). Human ears can't hear it but it's supposed to bother deer enough to keep them from jumping out if you're coming down the road.
